It’s important to know how to count calories if you are trying to lose weight.

Why?
To put it simply, it’s so you don’t eat more energy than your body is going to burn.

How do I know where to find the calorie info in the food I’m eating?
There are two easy things you can do to check out the calorie content of whatever it is that you are eating.

  • Enter your food into a calorie counting website like Calorie King or My Fitness Pal.
  • Read the back of the label. Calories (or kilojoules) are displayed in the “Energy” section on the label.
