Had to google ‘back gym machine’ to try to find out what the machine at the gym could be lol.
According to the Livestrong website:
The back extension exercise is a maneuver utilized to work the erector spinae and other smaller stabilizing muscles of the back. Strengthening these muscles is important for a variety of reasons. Performing the back extension exercise properly will reduce the likelihood of injury and ensure that the target muscles are being worked.
Seems like a good machine to start using. But my worry is how the frack do people use this thing and not fall off it!? Here is a pic of one that is very similar to the one from my gym:

Like, really! I would totally fall off that thing if I attempted to use it.
How high do you raise the part that your body rests on? Do you align it with your pelvis? This machine is an enigma.
I couldn’t test out the machine. There were too many people there today.
The one day I decide to try it out the entire suburb of Sydney decides to rock up lol.
Next week it is then.
So, there’s this new machine at my gym and its been there for a couple of weeks. I’m too scared to try it when people are around in case I look like a dickhead lol.
Today is Friday and for some reason the people that use the downstairs gym think Friday is a rest day, so the whole gym is basically mine for around 15mins.
So today’s the day. I’m gonna try it out haha. I know it works your back and abs but I just don’t know the height adjustment I need for myself. So I can play around with it by myself and then when people come in, I’ll look like a pro haha.
I would take a pick of it for your help if you use it but my friggen phone camera is broken. I know! Who wants a phone without a camera.

Check this out — a free outdoor gym!
The place my son has rugby training has built a new outdoor gym. The weights are air pressured and everything is brand spanking new.
They even have bikes and ellipticals!
Best discovery ever.
