My Weight Loss World

Welcome to my blog!

My blog will have weight loss tips, fitspo pics, recipes, exercise suggestions, cute clothes, accessories and shoes, and other random weight loss related internet tid bits. I'm a bit of a talker, so there will be a lot of personal posts, as well as reblogs from some of the awesome fitspo community I follow.

Feel free to hit up my ask if you would like to chat (weight loss or otherwise).

Be healthy, happy and strong.

Tom Hardy trains for Warrior (part 3)

It’s true. I make myself do cardio, knowing that the light at the end of the hideous tunnel is to be able to do weights afterwards. Wether it’s leg weights or arm weights, I don’t care. Gimmie more.

On a side note, I had a good gym sesh this morning. I think I’ve found my perfect pre-workout meal that gives me enough energy without feeling sick. Yay, finally.

Got my nails done today.

I hope their length doesn’t get in the way of lifting weights at the gym!

I specifically said I didn’t want them too long so I could still lift at the gym lol.

Reverse Fly

This is a great exercise for your shoulder blade area. I personally do these standing/bent down with strong abs and a straight back. I only use 2kg weights when I do this exercise too since it’s a hard place to work. 2kg is enough weight for me too. I wouldn’t ever increase my weight. 2kg does the job just fine.

  1. Use light-medium dumbbells and begin in a seated position, bent over with arms hanging down and weights under the knees.
  2. Try not to collapse on the legs but, instead, keep the back straight and the abs engaged.
  3. Lift the arms out to the sides, up to shoulder level, squeezing shoulder blades together.
  4. Keep the elbows slightly bent and only lift to shoulders.
  5. Lower and repeat for 1 to 3 sets of 12-16 repetitions, with a 20-30 second rest between sets.

I managed to wake up this morning and not have a coughing fit as soon as my eyes opened. I haven’t been able to do that for about 7 days. So things are hopefully looking up in the health department. My breathing is still a bit weird though. The best way I can describe what it feels like every time I take a breath is that it feels like breathing in really cold air…you know…just that uncomfortable feeling. Yeah, well, hopefully that goes away soon too so I can start running on the treadmill again!

I did manage to get to the gym this morning which is awesome. It’s been a whole week since I was last there. I just took it easy because I didn’t want to screw up my recovery in any way. I just did some free weights, squats with weights and machine weights.

Eating was good today too. Overall a good day.
